Key parameters to specify
Finished feed is a different transaction from a raw ingredient. You are buying a formulation, so the specification is the recipe — and the destination’s registration and labelling rules apply to the finished product rather than to a commodity. Both need settling before a price means anything.

Halal certification
Compound feed can be supplied with Halal certification issued by the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, where the producing mill holds a valid certificate for the product. For finished feed this depends on every ingredient in the formulation as well as the facility, so it is worth confirming before a recipe is settled rather than after. Certification is held by the mill, not by SPG, and applies to that facility and product.
Formulation, registration and confidentiality
Where you supply the recipe, ownership of that formulation stays with you and we will put a confidentiality arrangement in place with the mill before it is shared. Registration of a finished feed in the destination market is held by the licensed importer, and it is normally a longer process than importing a raw ingredient — worth starting early.

Can you produce feed to our own recipe?
Yes — that is a common arrangement. Send the formulation or your nutritional targets and we will approach mills with the right equipment and ingredient access. Your recipe remains yours, and a confidentiality arrangement is put in place before it is shared with a mill.
What is the minimum production run?
Finished feed carries a higher minimum than a raw ingredient because the mill is scheduling a production run and often sourcing premix specifically for it. The figure depends on the mill and the formulation, so send your target volume and we will tell you plainly whether it is workable.
Who registers the feed in our market?
The licensed importer holds the registration. We coordinate the mill-side documents — formulation details, analyses, facility certificates and label information — that the importer needs for that submission. Allow more time for this than for a raw ingredient.
Can it be supplied under our own brand?
Own-brand bagging is generally possible subject to the mill’s minimum run and your destination’s labelling rules. Confirm the label language and mandatory declarations with your importer before artwork is printed.
