Fish Meal Sourced from Thailand
SPG helps qualified buyers evaluate fish meal from suitable Thai producers according to species application, protein target, freshness, microbiological requirements, volume and destination.
Typical applications and buyers
- Aquaculture feed manufacturers
- Poultry and livestock feed producers
- Pet-food manufacturers
- Feed-ingredient importers and distributors
Key parameters to specify
Fish meal is the most tightly specified ingredient in our range. Protein alone does not describe it — freshness indicators, ash, salt and microbiological status all determine whether a given lot suits your species and process.
- Minimum crude protein
- Maximum moisture, fat and ash
- Salt and sand limits
- TVN, histamine, peroxide or freshness requirements
- Salmonella and microbiological requirements
- Antioxidant treatment
- Raw-material or species restrictions
- Packing, volume and destination
Regulatory eligibility
Regulatory eligibility can vary by raw material, processing facility and destination. Producer approval and documentation must be assessed before confirmation, and the licensed importer remains responsible for import eligibility in their market.
Frequently asked questions
Why do you ask for the species application?
Aquaculture, poultry and pet-food buyers weigh the same parameters differently — freshness and digestibility dominate in aquafeed, while cost per unit protein may dominate elsewhere. Knowing the application lets us approach the right producers first.
What do TVN and histamine indicate?
They are freshness indicators reflecting the condition of the raw fish before processing. Buyers with demanding aquafeed specifications usually set limits on them; state yours so offers are comparable.
Can you confirm facility approval for my market?
We collect the producer and facility documents available and identify what your market requires, but approval itself rests with the relevant authority and your licensed importer. We will tell you plainly where a gap exists rather than quoting around it.
